We strive to teach our students how to practice the craft of herbalism. From a Native perspective, this means digging beneath the presenting issue and finding the root of the imbalance. We believe that in order to work effectively with others, one must be in a dynamic, ongoing process of self-discovery. That to be in one’s power and fully present enables us to facilitate healing with our clients and to hear the plants. Our students can expect to work hard, both in and out of the classroom, and come away with a greater understanding of the plants, of nature and their place within the world.
